As pernas alongam-se na dança,
São sombrias, misteriosas como vielas
Onde são gatos.
Dois corpos são um corpo,
O langor, a graça, o desejo,
Mas não sendo carne,
Ou não mais do que as mãos,
Trágicas por conduzirem o destino,
Não mais do que este roçagar,
Esta pele aflante e lábios entreabertos
De que só o tango conhece o segredo,
Para que a tristeza se apague
Sendo dançada.
