Beyoncé - Spirit

English, Swahili
A A

Spirit

Uishi kwa muda mrefu mfalme1
(Uishi kwa uishi kwa)2
Uishi kwa muda mrefu mfalme1
(Uishi kwa uishi kwa)2

Yeah, yeah and the wind is talking
Yeah, yeah for the very first time
With a melody that pulls you towards it
Painting pictures of paradise

Saying rise up to the light in the sky, yeah
Watch the light lift your heart up
Burn your flame through the night

Woah, spirit
Watch the heavens open, yeah
Spirit, can you hear it calling? Yeah

Yeah, yeah and the waters crashing
Trying to keep your head up high
While you're trembling, that's when the magic happens
And the stars gather by your side

Saying rise up to the light in the sky, yeah
Let the light lift your heart up
Burn your flame through the night

Yeah, spirit
Watch the heavens open, yeah
Spirit, can you hear it calling? Yeah

Your destiny is coming close
Stand up and fight
So go into that far off land
And be one with the great I am, I am
A boy becomes a man

Woah, spirit
Watch the heavens open, yeah
Spirit, can you hear it calling? Yeah
Spirit, watch the heavens open, open, yeah
Spirit, spirit, can you hear it calling? Yeah

Your destiny is coming close, stand up and fight
So go into a far off land and be one with the great I am

Being the song part of the movie soundtrack, I moved it to the movie page.

The official version has been added again on Beyoncé's page: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/beyonc%C3%A9-spirit-lyrics.html-0
Should they be merged or should this version be converted to the movie version (which is shorter) or should another entry be published separately for the latter, leaving this song twice on the website?

Hmm. This is a tricky situation. It's included in both 'The Lion King' soundtrack and in Beyoncé's album 'The Gift'. I haven't watched the movie yet, but it seems both soundtracks have the same song, no differences between them. I honestly don't know what we could do here, maybe leaving both entries would do it, but it would make room for duplicate translations, so... We're between a rock and a hard place, I guess...

The long version of the song, as far as I know, was not included in the movie, not even in the end credits. The movie only feature a shorter bit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQes-F-Ozsg&t=0s
So I would say that maybe it would be more appropriate to merge these two entries under Beyoncé's page and add here only the short version.

I agree with you.
